Sleep in unique accommodation

We offer four beautiful, very private and unique holiday options.

The Boat House overlooks the western end of our lake with stunning views from it’s windows and a balcony cantilevered over the water.  This is an architect-designed timber framed house, complete with luxurious double bed, ensuite shower room, smart kitchen and living area, underfloor heating and cosy log burner. Outside the private deck overlooks the lake and there is a private garden area with fire pit with gorgeous lake and stream views.

The Sail House is an ensuite double luxury yurt overlooking the eastern end of our lake, with incredible sunset views. Inside there’s a bespoke wood frame double bed, ensuite bathroom yurt with indulgent bathtub, underfloor heating, log burner and kitchenette/living space. Outside a wooden boardwalk leads to a private sundeck; the fire pit and outside dining area is on a grassy bank overlooking the lake.

In addition to our two lakeside properties is the cosy and welcoming Mill Annexe, a small self-contained apartment attached to the Mill House, our family home. The Annexe has clean, comfortable and compact accommodation for a couple or single traveller seeking a holiday base in a rural location.

Finally for groups we also offer the opportunity to rent the entire of Pengelly Retreat, comprising the Boat House, the Sail House and our four-bedroom Mill House. This offers a fabulous and absolutely unique holiday set-up and is particularly well suited to families or small organised groups such as yoga or writers retreats.

For those who want to explore the gorgeous surroundings of West Cornwall, we are ideally located and there is so much to see. Take your choice from award-winning beaches, stunning gardens and great estates, picturesque coastal towns and quaint villages all within easy exploring distance. Or get active on land and water with a range of activities nearby from horse riding to surfing.

Retreat & holistic experiences

The land and water here at Pengelly Retreat have an almost magical quality to them and there’s certainly something special about a stay here. Relax in our peaceful waterside location and enjoy the natural surroundings, the sound of running water and birdsong and our beautiful wild flower meadows. This is a perfect spot for painting, writing, yoga, meditation or just to have some time away from it all.  We can arrange on-site private yoga sessions with an experienced local teacher or treat yourself to a holistic treatment at Jane Iannou’s tranquil therapy rooms nearby.
